AIT Engineer

ThrustMe is a cutting-edge space technology company specializing in the development and production of advanced propulsion systems for small satellites, founded in 2017. We are highly educated world experts in satellite space propulsion, pioneering the field of streamlined in-orbit propulsion for the rising satellite constellation paradigm. We help our clients in the US, Europe, and Asia, to manoeuvre satellites in space while meeting their short timelines and cost-capped budgets. The company made history in 2019 and 2020 with the world's first in-orbit demonstrations of iodine-fueled electric propulsion systems, and is currently experiencing strong growth, with over 200 systems ordered to date. We are dedicated to shaping the future of space technology and are seeking an Industrialization Engineer to join our team.

As an (Assembly, Integration, and Test) Engineer at ThrustMe, you will be responsible for:

You will play a key role in preparing systems for rigorous testing and ensuring their readiness for qualification. This role is perfect for someone passionate about precision and hands-on engineering. By joining the Product Development Team, you will be at the interface between cutting edge research and mass production, turning novel concepts into flight-ready systems.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Write and test new and existing procedures to address main production and integration constrains (assembly time, quality, cost).
  • Design assembly tools (CAO) and prepare drawings for manufacturing.
  • Plan, execute, and document the assembly, integration, and testing of prototypes and qualification models.
  • Support internal qualification and acceptance test campaigns.
  • Analyse test results and troubleshoot issues to ensure system performance meets specifications.
  • Document all assembly and testing activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers and physicists in the industrialization of ground-breaking products.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in AIT for aerospace or related industries.
  • Hands-on experience with complex assemblies and/or mechatronic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.
  • Proficient in CAD and technical drawings (Solidworks/Catia/Inventor/etc).
  • Familiarity with specific aerospace testing standards (thermal vacuum, vibration, shock) is a plus.
  • Communicates in English fluently. French is a plus (A2 level or more).
